About Edwin
Edwin enjoys challenging individuals and organisations by providing different, new lenses for looking at the world, their business and themselves. He enjoys being up-to-date and delving even deeper into the latest developments, tools and concepts in innovation, strategy and most of all sustainability. He knows how to apply and translate them in order to motivate others to create tangible results in any line of business.
He co-authored various publications, including the Springer book ‘Rethinking Strategic Management‘. The chapter ‘Sustainability and Technology Acceleration – How to Surf the Killer Waves: A Systems Thinking Approach to Become Fit for the Future’ provides insights into the architecture and approach applied by Sustainable Growth Associates. Edwin is a Senior Partner as Sustainable Growth Associates and in parallel, he is senior advisor within The Natural Step network and member of The Natural Step Chemical Coalition. Edwin lives in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Prior to joining Sustainable Growth Associates, he worked as a (freelance) management consultant for many years, successfully leading and supporting development and change projects at the edge of business and ICT within banks, insurers and the construction, railway and services industries, often in the role of a project or process manager.
Edwin has an MSc in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability from Sweden and is trained in innovation. He has a double bachelor’s degree in International Management from Finland and The Netherlands.
